Ed is a Senior Lecturer in Supply Chain Management at Maastricht School of Management. He holds an MSc in Business Administration with specializations in Logistics Management and Management of Technology and Innovation from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (1995). He also has a Post-graduate degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Eindhoven University of Technology (1997).

Ed has acquired extensive experience in managing international supply chain projects, after working for several years for logistics operator DHL. Since 2004, he operates as an independent consultant and corporate trainer with focus on projects and teaching in Operations & Supply Chain Management, Strategy, Project Management and Intra- and Entrepreneurship. He is a strong believer in the principles of “experiential learning” and as part of his training and teaching activities, he runs a number of different business simulations (“serious gaming”).

Ed is the author of the business management book “The Perfect Pass: what the manager can learn from the football trainer”, published in Dutch, Spanish and English. A new book, entitled “Mastering the Supply Chain. Principles, practice and real-life applications” has been published in 2019.
